Near the same place as the previous photo only looking east toward Mount St. Helens.
Looking NE at the Cowlitz Mission and Mt. Rainier near the Old Cowlitz Village site. The church building in the photo was constructed in 1916.
Looking NE on the old Pacific Highway near the Cowlitz Village site and where Simon Plomondon made took his donation lance claim. His home in 1850 was near this road.
Looking SW on the Old Pacific Highway near the Cowlitz village and Simon Plomondon's residence which was probebly to the right of the photo on the hill. This road may be one of the oldest roads in Washington. This may have been the original path
      of the Cowlitz Trail coming up from the landing and was also the road from the landing to the mission beginning in 1838. The road was paved in 1913 when it became a section of the Pacific Highway.
