The Brick Road

Ronald Place Brick Road
By Curt Cunningham

Ronald Place N. was originally a section of the North Trunk Road, later in 1930, the road became known as Aurora Avenue. In 1913, most of the North Truck Road was paved with bricks. In the 1930s, Aurora Ave. had gone through improvements that straightened out the old windy road. Ronald Place was one of these places that the new highway bypassed and the brick paving had survived until the present day. The photos were taken in 2011 when there was construction nearby and the old road was used as a staging area for materials. Today the brick road has been cleared and restored.
